（仏）「サロン・ドートンヌ展 2024」（SALON D’AUTOMNE）に絵画が入選しました
フランス・パリ市内にて開催される 「サロン・ドートンヌ展」 （LE SALON D’AUTOMNE 2024）に絵画「新緑をゆくトロッコ列車」が入選しました（３年連続４回目の入選）。

サロン・ドートンヌ展は1903年よりはじまったフランスパリ市内で催される展覧会で、かつてはマチス、ピカソ、セザンヌ、ブラック、藤田嗣治らが活躍したことでも知られています。
（出展作品）「新緑をゆくトロッコ列車」
この絵画は、かつて日本の長野県を走っていた木曽森林鉄道のトロッコ列車を描いたものだ。木曽森林鉄道は1916年、ヒノキなど木材を運搬することを目的につくられた。山間にまるで網の目のようにレールが張り巡らされ、路線の総延長は400ｋｍ以上に及んだと伝えられている。その役割は、時代を経て、木材の運搬に加えて、山林に住む住民の足としても重要な存在になっていった。
しかし、自動車産業の発達や道路の整備により、木材の運搬は鉄道輸送からトラック運送へと変遷していった。そして、１９７５年、たくさんの人に惜しまれながらも木曽森林鉄道は廃線となった。春が来ると、日本の山々は新緑に包み込まれる。
森林には木漏れ日がやさしく差し込み、梢には野鳥の声がこだまする。そんな風景のなかを木曽森林鉄道のトロッコ列車は木材を乗せて走り抜けていた。その往年の姿を私は絵画で再現した。
Trolley Train Running through Fresh Greenery
This painting features a trolley train of the Kiso Forest Railway, which once ran in Nagano Prefecture, Japan.The Kiso Forest Railway was established in 1916 to transport cypress and other timber.The rails were stretched out like a mesh between mountains, and the total length of line is said to have been more than 400 km. Over time, the railroads became valuable not only for transporting lumber, but also as a means of transportation for residents living in the mountains and forests.
However, with growth of automotive industry and development of roads,transportation of lumber shifted from rail to truck.In 1975, with a great deal of regret, the Kiso Forest Railroad was closed down.
In spring, mountains in Japan are covered with fresh greenery.Sunlight gently filters through trees, and wild birdsong echoes through treetops.In such a landscape, trolley trains of the Kiso Forest Railway used to run through the forest with carrying lumber.I recreated such an old scenery of the train in this painting.
